Tarbiat Modares University

The first National Student Conference on Statistics in Iran was held on December 12th at Tarbiat Modares University.

With the aim of creating the opportunity and grounds for the improvement of the students’ scientific level, this conference which was sponsored by TMU’s Students Scientific Association in cooperation with the Students' Association of Statistics of Iran and the Statistics Association of Iran was held on Wednesday, December 12th at the Auditorium No. 1 of Faculty of Basic Sciences.

Referring to the mission of the conference, Dr. Mohsen Mohammadzadeh said that the conference, with the participation of scholars of various statistics trends, aims to present the latest achievements of different fields and discuss the use of statistics science in other sciences and related fields.

Referring to the papers received by the secretariat, the secretary of the conference pointed out that out of a total of 52 papers received at the conference secretariat, 46 articles were accepted by the honorable committee of referees of which 34 were presented as lectures and 12 papers in poster form.

He added: "This conference covered the theoretical and applied statistics and probability and applicability issues of statistics, and other fields related to the statistics”.
